Big Apple First US City to Require Electronics Recycling

Treehugger reported on 2.14.08 that the Big Apple is the first US City to Require Electronics Recycling. The Lower East Side Ecology Center is working with our local environmental groups to help this law become a reality.

Check out the information about how eWaste manufacturers are held accountable at the Electronic Take-back Coalition‘s website.

You can be a part of it here at GCS!   Take part in our “Cell Phone, Laptop, Gold & Silver Jewelry Recycling Fundraiser” by bringing in your eWaste and Jewelry.  Bins are available in the lobby of GCS, and the money raised goes towards our Sustainability Program.  Our program uses Recycling Fundraiser.
